When the tide is in and I can't walk the beach, I head for the shoulder of the country road that meanders the shoreline near my little beach house. There I find treasures. My walks are fits and starts, bending over to exam the latest tossed debris or fender bender jetsam. Needless to say, my walking route is less littered. Returning home, I empty my pockets and dream about the possibilities of those finds.

Treasures might include a bumper fragment, reflector shard, windshield glass chip, tire tread, saw blade, shoe sole, or twist top bottle cap.
